Born in Appanaickenpatti, Coimbatore in 1959. Did his MSc and PhD from Mumbai university in Thyroid Biochemistry. After working for 14 years in BARC, started a business and brand, Thyrocare in 1995. In 2016 it got listed in NSE and in June 2021 he exited Thyrocare when it touched a Billion USD valuation.

Prof S Sadagopan was Director of IIITB from 1999 to 2021. He is a graduate of Madras University, India and Purdue University, USA. He taught for 25+ years at IIT Kanpur, IIM Bangalore, IIT Madras and IIIT Bangalore in addition to short teaching assignments at RUTGERS, USA and AIT, Bangkok.

Rakesh Sharma graduated from the National Defence Academy in Dec 1968 and joined the Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot. He flew 21 Operational Missions on a Mig-21 aircraft during the Indo-Pak War in 1971, before being selected for the Test Pilots Course in 1975 at the Test Pilot’s School of the Indian Air Force’s Aircraft and Systems’ Testing Establishment, Bangalore.
