Talend was born in 2005 offering data integration software on-premises. In 2014, it launched its public Cloud offering Talend Cloud. This case study will look at the transformation steps we went through from launching the first product, over changing the way products got delivered to finally changing the company. Along the way, we will look at how product management had to evolve during each phase of the transformation.

Thomas Steinborn is VP Product Management at Talend. Since 2013, he heads Talend Cloud, Platform and Technology Alliances product strategy. He has 15+ years of experience in data and application integration. Within Talend he owns the transformation of Talend becoming a Cloud company. He drives all cross-product platform concerns, innovation on serverless, and container technologies and manages the relationship with strategic technology alliance partners. His core competencies include Big Data, Data Management, Data Governance, and Machine Learning as well as IoT, Service Mesh, Messaging, Data Mapping, and B2B protocol-based communication.
