SPM SUMMIT INDIA- ACADEMIC TRACK 2022

We welcomed papers and case studies on the special theme of this year’s SPM Summit India 2022 - “BUILDING SAFE, SECURE AND SMART DIGITAL PRODUCTS & PLATFORMS".

New age digital products are now evolving to be platforms that connect several stakeholders. These next generation products and platforms can be distinguished by three unique characteristics. First, developing digital products now involves creative strategies that harness customer networks. This provides potential for quick scaling up of these products and platforms. Therefore, the search for the right “hook” to attract and retain a strong customer base is an important aspect of product design. Second, emergence of new tools and techniques help firms design intelligent products that can enhance customer value. Embedded AI helps product managers understand customer requirements and refine the offerings on a real time basis. Third and the most important aspect of these new generation digital products / platforms is the need to build safety and security into the product design. This protects customer data and enhances customer trust in the product.

The best industry paper was “Developer Experience for Software Platforms” by Monojit Basu.
The best research paper award was won by Bhawna Parewa and Priya Gupta for their paper “A Systematic Review and Bibliometric Analysis of Blockchain Application in Consumer Service”.
The best projects in the IIMB student showcase were “Avalara Inc. Taxation and Compliance and Videoken: Digital Product Analysis”.
