Lingraju (Lingu) Sawkar is an accomplished business and technology leader with nearly three decades of experience at IBM and Wipro. Lingu has held several leadership positions across product portfolios, global markets, and services in India, Asia Pacific, and the US. Lingu also served as the Strategy Executive for Growth Markets based out of New York and led the Cloud Managed Infrastructure Services business across Asia Pacific. Prior to his appointment as President of Kyndryl India, he was the General Manager of IBM Global Technology Services (GTS) for India/South Asia and drove the transformation of GTS into a next-generation value driven services organization.

At Kyndryl India, Lingu oversees a diverse workforce whose skills, talents, and capabilities are deployed for customers both in India and worldwide. Lingu has helped drive industry transformation engagements and deals at several leading companies in the country.

Under Lingu’s stewardship Kyndryl’s work with employees, customers, industry bodies and the Government resulted in several excellence awards and accolades for technology, procurement, marketing, and diversity and inclusion leadership. Kyndryl was among the companies recognized by The Economic Times as “The Best Organizations for Women 2022” and the “The Best Tech Brands 2022”. Lingu was also recognized by the Government of Karnataka for his work in supporting the development of high-tech cities and skilling in regional Karnataka and is a council member of the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM).

Lingu is a regular speaker at several prominent universities in India and is an Engineering Graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka with a Business Management Degree from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research. Based in Bengaluru, he is an avid marathon runner and has keen interest in culture and humanities.
