Product management is a constantly evolving field that requires orchestration of various stakeholders and adapting to the changing needs of the market, existing customers as well as company strategy. While there are many tools and methodologies available to help with this task, it's important to use them effectively to achieve success. This talk will provide examples of how certain tools and methodologies can be misunderstood and used improperly, leading to unintended consequences. One such example is the Weighted Shortest Job First method, which is a useful tool for identifying and prioritizing the most critical points in a backlog but should be used carefully to permanently prioritize the entire backlog. Instead, it should be used to facilitate discussion with stakeholders and save time by setting focus. In order to make the right product decisions and select the appropriate tools and methodologies, it's important to understand and apply certain principles. Join this talk to learn more about these principles and how they can help guide your product management efforts. By attending, you'll gain valuable insights that might help in your own work to improve your productivity and achieve success.
