“Product AI: Navigating The Future Of Product Management”
16 & 17 February, IIM Bangalore
The 6th edition of SPM Summit India 2024 co-hosted by IIM Bangalore’s Centre for Software and IT Management (CSITM) and the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA) was held on February 16 & 17.
Prof. Sadagopan led the summit as conference chair. Dr. Pramod Varma delivered the keynote address Mr. Abhijit Bendigiri was the program chair for industry track and Prof. Spurthy Dharanikota was the program chair for the academic track.
Three pre-conference workshops were held on February 15. All the three workshops conducted by Haragopal Mangipudi / Vidhi Chugh, Hans-Bernd Kittlaus / Abhijit Bendigiri, Bhaskaran Srinivasan / Ashish Gupta were interactive and informative.
ISPMA University Chapter at IIM Bangalore was unveiled by Prof. Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore, Prof. S. Sadagopan, Summit Chair, Hans-Bernd Kittlaus, Chairman, ISPMA, Prof. Haragopal Mangipudi, Global Board member of ISPMA, Prof. Shankhadeep Banerjee, Chairperson, CSITM and Prof. Spurthy Dharanikota, Faculty, IS Area at IIM Bangalore.
During the summit, many prominent leaders delivered inspiring talks on various aspects of Product Innovation and the emerging role of AI. Student Case Competition, Panel Discussions and presentations from Students of UC Berkeley, IIM Sambalpur and IIM Bangalore were held in the Academic Track apart form the Academic / Research Paper Presentations. The event as a whole was highly successful.
Under the SPM Excellence Awards, the winners were:
Category – Startup: Utpan from Vridhi-Cap
Category - New Software Product from Established Company: UPI Transaction Manager from Infosys Edgeverve Finacle
Category - Established software product: Vin eRetail from Vinculum
Category – Platforms: ZEE5 from Zee Entertainment
Under the Academic Papers, the winners were:
Best Research Paper - Second Runner Up: Paper titled “Leveraging AI Public Goods for Social Welfare Through Ecosystem Approach” authored by Manisha Rathi
Best Research Paper - First Runner Up: Paper titled “System and Method for Automatic Naming Convention of Audio Files Based on User Preferences” authored by Ramalingeswara Rao K V
Best Research Paper- Winner: Paper titled “A Bottom-up Approach for Analyzing Fluctuations in Financial Statements” authored by Sanyam Jangir, Deepan Gk and Ravi Dave.
Under the Student Case Competition, the winners were:
