Software Product Management is a critical leadership competence for both mature digital businesses as well as startups alike. However the charter of the product management in startups could be very fluid and different from that of their mature peers. Keeping this in mind, ISPMA has developed the Startup SPM syllabus to address the needs of the startups and scale-ups explicitly. This session gives an outline of the Startup SPM framework and provides a deep dive into “product market fit analysis” which is of critical focus for startups. We will also be doing a short case study on a “Digital pivot” to help understand the nuances of product strategy.

He teaches software product management as a full credit elective to MBA students as well as M Tech/MS/BTech students at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad and The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore. Hara was a member of the executive council of Infosys and was the global head of Finacle till 2014.
