Theme: Building a Product Nation: Agile, AI-Driven & Accountable


The Centre for Software and Information Technology Management (CSITM) at IIM Bangalore and the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA) have been co-hosting the Software Product Management Summit India.

Since its inception in 2019, the Software Product Management (SPM) Summit has been a premier annual gathering of practitioners, academics, entrepreneurs, and policy leaders and experts to disseminate and exchange their latest insights, experiences, and findings within the dynamic realm of Software Product Management driving the growth of the product ecosystem.

This year’s theme, “Building a Product Nation: Agile, AI-Driven and Accountable”, reflects our shared commitment to advancing product management as a discipline, as a driver of innovation, and as a catalyst for national growth.

SPM Summit India 2026, 8th edition, slated for February 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2026, at IIM Bangalore, will feature a diverse array of sessions, including keynote addresses, interactive workshops, insightful panel discussions, engaging fireside chats, presentations of academic papers, student case competition, demonstrations of industry best practices, and compelling success stories.

CALL FOR CONTRIBUTION – INDUSTRY TRACK

We are looking forward to contributions from professionals who wish to share their Software Product Management experience as part of Presentations, Case studies and Workshops during the SPM Summit on topics such as:

Topics

1) Building Global-First Products from India - Strategies to establish India as a Product Nation

Explore the strategies, enablers, and execution models required to build global-first software products originating from India. Submissions should highlight global market fit, internationalization design, cross-cultural UX, scalable architectures, and proven go-to-market pathways. Case studies demonstrating how Indian products have expanded to global markets with measurable impact are encouraged.

2) Accelerating India's AI Product Revolution

Explore approaches to accelerate AI research, development of sovereign models, and the adoption of AI across sectors in India to compete on the global stage. Propose frameworks for cultivating an AI innovation ecosystem and skill development across industries and educational institutions. Proposals should address new educational frameworks, talent and skill development, policy innovations, digital infrastructure and startup ecosystem shifts that can enable India to lead the next wave of AI innovation and product development, and cultivate a large talent pool.

3) Balancing Speed of Innovation with Responsibility and Accountability 

Address ethical, regulatory, and governance models that ensure responsible AI innovation while balancing rapid innovation. Proposals should detail practical frameworks for responsible AI development. This includes strategies for ensuring fairness, transparency, privacy protection, explainability, safety and the creation of resilient ethical guidelines that do not stifle innovation.

4) Product Leadership in the Agentic Era

Examine leadership models and team-building strategies for resilient, adaptable product teams integrating human and AI collaboration. Proposals should outline new leadership competencies, organizational structures, and tools required to manage product development where AI agents play a significant, autonomous role

5) Nurturing AI product thinking from concept to impact

Explore how teams can build strong AI product thinking across the entire lifecycle — from identifying the right problem to designing, developing, deploying, and driving adoption with measurable impact. Proposals should examine approaches for opportunity discovery, data readiness, model selection, governance, AI risk management, quality assurance, and change management. This topic invites discussions on best practices that enable teams to design AI products that are feasible, responsible, sustainable and valuable end-to-end. Proposals may also highlight strategies for scaling AI products, customer growth, measuring impact, and fostering continuous learning throughout the product journey.

Selection Process

All submitted nominations will undergo a thorough review by our expert jury. Shortlisted candidates will receive an official invitation to speak at the SPM Summit 2026, hosted at IIM Bangalore.

Selected speakers will enjoy complimentary access to the full three day summit.
